Ordibehesht cultural center

Located on the northwest of the city of Isfahan, Ordibehesht cultural complex as a 1.8 acre cultural center (7300 m2) sits next to the landmark mountain Atashgah. The mountain on the top features the historic fire temple Atashgah (meaning the holy place for fire). Isfahan University of Technology, started this project to provide a cultural educational center for extracurricular activates. After the completion of its structure and some of the brick finishing, this project was offered to me to revise the existing design condition and its architectural features with no intervention in the existing structure and the brick works. Through a 9-month continuous onsite work, design, and supervision, I revised the design of the complex to better accommodate its needs and better connect the complex to the site unique features. Through my design I incorporated a dynamic experience of space through the outside garden, interior colors /materials, some of the exterior materials, scenery vistas to the mountain from the indoor and outdoor space, and formal abstraction of the site landmark features such as the fire temple. I heavily remodeled the interior of the building with new finishes and room layout modifications.
